Season one April to October

Build season

Stone and paver work goes in while the ground is workable. Base depth, compaction and drainage are what decide whether a patio is still flat in five years, so that is where the days go.

Every photograph on this page is a marked placeholder. Diamond’s own job photos drop straight into these frames.
01

Natural Stone Hardscape

Dry‑stacked and mortared stonework in Montana stone — steps, seat walls, veneer on a foundation or column, boulder placement and stone edging. Stone is chosen and laid piece by piece, so the finished wall reads as part of the ground rather than something delivered on a pallet.

  • Steps, seat walls and stone veneer
  • Boulder setting and natural stone edging
  • Locally sourced stone, matched to the house

02

Patio Design & Construction

Paver and flagstone patios laid on an excavated, compacted base with the fall pitched away from the house. In the Flathead the enemy is water freezing under the surface and lifting it, so the base and the drainage get built properly before a single paver is set.

  • Layout and design worked out on site with you
  • Excavation, compacted base, edge restraint, polymeric sand
  • Steps, borders and integrated seating

03

Fire Pit Installation

Wood‑burning or gas fire pits in block or natural stone, set on their own base and sited so smoke drifts away from the house and the seating. Built into a patio during construction, or added to a patio that is already there.

  • Round or square, block or full stone
  • Gas‑ready builds coordinated with your plumber
  • Matching seat walls and a gravel or paver surround

04

Retaining Wall Construction

Segmental block or natural stone retaining walls for the sloped lots this valley is full of — holding a driveway cut, levelling a yard, terracing a hillside into usable ground. Drainage gravel and filter fabric go in behind the wall every time; water pressure, not weight, is what pushes walls over.

  • Grade correction and terracing on steep lots
  • Drainage stone, filter fabric and outlet behind the wall
  • Block or natural stone, with steps built in where you need them

Season two May to September

Growing season

Water and mowing, on a schedule, so the property looks the same in August as it did in June. Both services can be set up for the season and left to run.

05

Irrigation System Installation

Zoned sprinkler systems designed around your actual yard — lawn on rotors, beds on drip, shaded ground on its own zone so it is not drowned to keep the sunny side alive. Installed with a controller you can work, and blown out before the first hard freeze.

  • New systems, zone additions and repairs
  • Drip lines to beds and planters
  • Spring start‑up and autumn blow‑out
Call about irrigation (406) 631-7919
06

Lawn Maintenance

Mowing, trimming and edging on a set day, with clippings handled and beds kept tidy. Spring and autumn clean‑ups take care of the leaf and needle load that otherwise sits on the grass all winter. Residential and small commercial properties.

  • Weekly or fortnightly mowing, trimming and edging
  • Bed weeding, bark and rock top‑up
  • Spring and autumn clean‑ups

Season three November to March

Winter

The same crew that built the patio clears the drive over it. Book before the first storm — routes fill, and the day it snows is the worst day to start looking.

07

Snow Removal & Ice Management

Driveway ploughing, walkway and entry clearing, and de‑icing for residential and commercial properties across the valley. Seasonal agreements mean you are on the route before the forecast turns, rather than calling round at six in the morning with everyone else.

  • Seasonal contracts and per‑storm call‑outs
  • Walkways, entries and car parks, not just the drive
  • Ice management and de‑icing
